Inventors design helmets capable of keeping out COVID-19 particles

With the ability of preventing contact with COVID-19, the breakthrough invention is the brainchild of a group of Dutch entrepreneurs who shun normalizing ‘what isn’t normal’.

Named ‘eartmasQ’, the futuristic, revolutionary device can be used as personal protective equipment (PPE), and aims to transform the ‘new normal’, with the team commenting: “No more lockdowns. No more distancing. No more hidden smiles. Our expressions and behaviours as human beings does not have to be hidden or changed to a ‘new’ normal.”

Priced at €149,00, the one-of-a-kind invention gives users 180′ all round vision, and features comfortable foam for ultimate shoulder support, as well as a protective cape to ensure wearers can go about their daily life without coming into contact with virus particles, as well as a range of other harmful elements.

Although not exclusively for the use of COVID protection, eartmasQ is a financially inclusive, accessible, and sustainable solution to the pollution caused by disposable masks.

Not only does the intricate eartmasQ technology promise to protect wearers, it also offers a two-way protection, protecting everyone around you from anything you may bear.

The limited edition product, which is now available for pre-order, uses an easy-to-replace 99.5% filtration system, using technologies high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) and activated carbon filter.

The eartmasQ 1st edition helmet works by acting as a protective bubble around the users head, with filters on the top to provide oxygen access. The HEPA filter, made out of either plastic or fiberglass, keep out 99.5% of all particulate pollution, including pollen, viruses, bacteria, mould and PM2.5.

The multi-functional device serves as a protector from many other harmful elements; the activated carbon filter eradicates odours, pollutants, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the air by trapping gas molecules and removing them from circulation.
